Peninsula Plein Air Painters

Peninsula Plein Air Painters (PPAP) is a group of independent, accomplished artists painting within the geographical area of the Peninsula of Door County and the adjacent regions of northeast Wisconsin.
PPAP began as a loosely-knit group in 2005, continuing until its official formation in 2007 by the current Charter Members. Since then we have continued to add a small, but dedicated number of artists to our group.

Mission Statement:

PPAP is dedicated to:

  • the preservation and continuation of traditional plein air painting
  • foster and promote its advancement, appreciation, and participation through regular and frequent paint-outs, exhibitions, workshops, demonstrations, and other special events.

    * Although the official PPAP paint out season has ended, some members continue to paint during the colder months.
